Fortnite and local AI vision share the same GPU. Leave headroom for both.

A high Fortnite frame rate does not automatically mean there is enough capacity for local neural detection. Both workloads need GPU time, and a system pinned near full utilization has less room for consistent capture and inference.

Why average FPS is not enough

Average game FPS can look healthy while individual frame times spike. Local capture and inference add another scheduled workload, so the important question is whether the GPU has consistent spare capacity during real fights—not only in an empty Creative map.

NeyraX measures inference at startup and reduces tracking cadence when hardware is slower. That protects stability, but a reduced profile is less responsive than the high-end cadence. Automatic scaling cannot create unused GPU time.

Published minimum and recommendation

For a good supported experience, NeyraX publishes Windows 10/11 64-bit, a dedicated DirectX 12 NVIDIA or AMD GPU with at least 4 GB dedicated VRAM, 16 GB system RAM, a modern four-core CPU and an SSD. Six gigabytes or more of VRAM and a modern six-core CPU are recommended.

Integrated Intel UHD/Iris Xe and older integrated Vega graphics are not recommended. They may enter a reduced 16–30 detection FPS profile and should not be expected to feel like a dedicated gaming GPU.

Test the real game load

  1. 1.Use the resolution and Fortnite graphics settings you actually play.
  2. 2.Enter a representative fight or replay rather than testing an empty lobby.
  3. 3.Watch for game stutter, capture instability and GPU utilization that remains close to 100%.
  4. 4.Lower nonessential Fortnite graphics settings or cap FPS to create consistent headroom.
  5. 5.Retest the same scene before deciding whether the PC is suitable.

Do not promise identical behavior across hardware

A fixed detector model can be used across performance tiers while cadence changes. That preserves what the model recognizes, but not how often a fresh result arrives. A slower system can therefore remain compatible without matching high-end response time.

This is why NeyraX states minimum and recommended requirements separately and offers a short paid test period instead of claiming that every Windows PC feels identical.

What a useful benchmark should publish

A credible hardware result includes GPU, CPU, RAM, resolution, Fortnite settings, detection profile, inference percentiles and whether the test occurred during active gameplay. A single screenshot of Task Manager or an empty-map FPS number is not enough.

NeyraX will publish model-specific hardware results only after they have been collected under the same protocol. Untested GPUs are described as unverified rather than silently treated as guaranteed.

Keep diagnosing before adding another tool
